Minutes (April 10th)
Spiritual
integration:
·Bible
Study took place last week for about 3 days. Women mentioned how wanted to be
with their children during these holidays but won't be possible
·
·Ikimena
(womens' savings group): since the women didn't get paid 2 weeks ago, they were
not able to save. The person who was supposed to be lent money was affected and
not happy.
·
·No
women were visited last week, This week, visits will be focused on Jane,
Josephine, Yvonne. Yvonne's dad is in jail because he is suspected of Genocide
participation. Josephine and Jane lost their family members in the Genocide.
·
·Request
for Mpinga: provide an update on how things are; when it seems like we are
about to close or reopen.
·
·PS:
Staff retreat is in May
DuHu:
·Reports
for the business plans for DuHu participants will be worked on this week:
evaluating their businesses, verifying if we are ready to invest in them.
·
·Immaculee's
business is more expensive than estimated; Jamie will be consulted regarding
this to see what next step should be taken.
·
·A
financial analyst assistant will be needed to ensure calculations made by Lise
are correct and accurate
·
·Lise
applied for the BDC event on April 19th : preparing a short
presentation about DuHope in case we are requested to present something is
necessary.
DuHope:
·Impact
Measurements for DuHope will happen in July; Jamie is working on finding
someone for this for free.
·
·First
draft of the handbook is finished. This will be reviewed by Jamie
·
·Working
on how to improve the display of our products in the US : packaging etc
·
·Jamie
is looking for someone who can be more active regarding our products in the US
·
·
·Updating
inventory and uploading pictures of products that are not displayed on the
website will be done this week
·
·New
outlet – Charisma; Mpinga will follow up with them regarding the contract to
make sure the managers are on the same page with DuHope.

Financial
administration:
·Currently
working on financial reports, profit & loss statements
·
·Also
working on a cash needed report: what we need for April and what we have left
from March's budget. All these reports will be submitted to Jamie
·
·Working
on the project of having the women work as MTN agents on top of their work at
DuHope
