Staff meeting minutes.
Subjects:
Today’s staff meeting discussed 2 points:
1. Felix
Felix is a videographer who has been working with Belay
Rwanda for a while. We want him to be our sub-contractor. He will be using
Belay’s office as a working space and we agreed to take 10% of every income he
makes and we will get reduced prices on whenever Belay gives him a job.
This agreement is more in his favor because Belay wants to
help him
He will be given the contract on Tuesday, 20th of
June
2. Handbook
The reason for the employee handbook is to know where we
stand as an organization. We discussed and clarified some points in the
employee handbook. Some of those points are:
ü
Dress code: we don’t need to be strict about
politics and religion because it is not a big deal in our country(Rwanda)
ü
Target group: we target majority women but we
welcome a few men in our program depending on their situation.
ü
Duhu program: The information about Duhu needs
to be updated. Lise will add some information that Becky is working on.
ü
Insurance: Instead of Belay covering the total
cost of insurance, employees will be given a flat fee (450000 rwf for now) that
they can use as medical stipend and submit the bills to Maurice.
ü
Social media: Employees are representing the
organization on their private social media, thus, we have to be careful about
what we post or share on our social media.
ü
Maurice will handle operations in the absence of
Jamie. Jamie is the Country Director and all departments directly report to her
for the moment.
ü
Once the handbook document is final, employees
will be given a PDF copy.
